VIP 722k network question

I am trying to hook up my 722 to my broadband. I don't have a phone line so I want to use it to order pay per views. My isp uses a static ip. I have a wireless game adapter that use to work when I used hughesnet service. Is there a way to make this work? I see a usb port under the ethernet port. Is there a way to use this?

If you have more than one device on your home network, set your router as the static address and your 722 will be on the home network with an inside (169.###.###.###) address which can be dynamicaly set by the router.
