When I installed my home LAN system, I used a Linksys Wireless Router with 4 wired ports (3 ports remaining after main computer connected)... Each of the remaining 3 ports is wired directly to an CAT 5 outlet somewhere in the house/shop and is in use by either another PC or a Directv Receiver. NOW the problem.. In my living room where the DTV receiver is connected to the wired LAN, I need another LAN access point (connection). I have no more access ports on the router to run a cable from. Is there anyway to connect something to the wall connection in the living to get 2 ports out of the one connection? Maybe the only way to go on this one is a wireless access point! Help or ideas...

I bought a Linksys 4-port router from Newegg connected my wall LAN to the router and from the router to the satellite box and my blue ray player

May I ask which model of 4 port router you are using? Thanks
