I am looking for a good entry level system for my home. Trying to keep the budget down since we are moving soon. Would I be getting a good system with this:

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=9238844&type=product&id=1218065494324&ref=10&loc=01

For the price, it seems to be getting good reviews. I know there are many other good systems out there, but will I be able to take advantage of most current audio tracks?

That AVR does not decode the new HD audio. Try this one. http://www.accessories4less.com/make-a-store/item/ONKHTS6100/Onkyo/Ht-s6100-7.1-channel-Receiver/-Speaker-Package-Black/1.html I have bought from this site. This is a lot of system for the money.

The system mytime suggested would be much better. Anyway, Sony makes some of the worst audio (receiver) products on the market with very high failure rates. Secondly there is no way in hell that Sony system could put out 143 watts per channel.

Exactly. For the money, nothing else even comes close to the Onkyo HT-S6100 at Accessories4Less. It decodes EVERYTHING, has HDMI switching, 7.1 speaker system, and loads of features found on nothing else in this price range. :2cents

Go with the Onkyo. You won't be disappointed. I got something similar to what you are looking at and I wouldn't have been happy with it at all.
