Help with HDMI connections [Archive] - High Def Forum - Your High Definition Community & High Definition Resource

I recently added a Yamaha RX-V635 Receiver, samsung BD-1600 DVD, and Toshiba Regza HDTV. My DVR is a Scientific Atlantic Explorer 8300HD.

The receiver has 2 HDMI in's and 1 out. I figured i could just connect the DVR and the DVD to the HDMI In's, then connect the HDMI out from the receiver to the HDTV. I did this and only get sound from the DVR but not the DVD. I really don't know what i'm doing wrong any help would be appreciated , thanks.
