Okat the first picture(3558) is a pic of another person's setup for his 4 back speakers. Im going to have a 7.1 BTW
My couch like his sits against the wall and my wife doesnt want to move anything
Would that still be an ideal setup? Ill sit probably 2-3 feet away in the middle of my couch
the last 3 pics are of my house/couch
my question is will the sound still be great if I set it up like the first picture is?

Preferably, the rear surrounds should be slightly elevated and angled towards all listeners. The first pic might be okay for one person sitting in the middle but would be annoying to anyone sitting on either end of the couch.

No reason at all to have a 7.1 system in this situation. Set it up as a 5.1 system (not using rear surrounds as they will be of little if any audible benefit in your situation) and if possible move the couch away from the wall 1'. By doing that and placing your surround speakers in the corner of the room, at ceiling height, aimed towards the listeners position(s), you should get amazing sound.
