Acoustic Research HC6 Subwoofer

I have seen a review which discusses hooking up an audio cable from the AV receiver to the LFE on the subwoofer and then supplying the two rear surround speakers from the subwoofer. Has anyone tried this? Thoughts?

LFE is low frequency effects only, so connecting it as you describe would probably not even make the rear speakers sound.

Loves2watch is right. If you want to hook it up that way you would need to run speaker wires from the rear surround speakers to the line level inputs on the sub and then wire from the line level outputs to the surrounds. I would think if you wanted to hook it up useing those connections you would be better of useing the front speakers and not the surrounds.
