I recently purchased this unit. Before I used a Monoprice 401E HDMI switcher to connect my Dish 622 HD receiver, Toshiba XA2, and Philips Bluray player. The picture on my Sharp 52" LCD seems to be much clearer. My wife even says it looks better to her. Would the 6200 make any difference in the sharpness of the picture ?

It could...as you have some video filters/switches and upscaling.

I just hooked up the speakers and my devices and plugged it in. My daughter and son-in-law got a 6200 the day after we did and they think the picture on their Samsung 42" LCD is much clearer than before. There must be an upscaler built into the 6200.

I would suggest reading the manual and look specifically for video connections and setup...see page 79 for example.

The specifications reveal no video processing of any kind in this Onkyo.

It does in fact use the Faroudja DCDi Edge video processor.

Whatever it is, the picture is as outstanding as the sound! This is my 3rd surround system (a Philips and JVC previously) and unless something goes wrong with it, probably my last.
