Picking up DTV through PC

Hi,

I'm looking for either a DTV tuner card or usb device that has a ASTC connector for hooking up my roof TV antenna. I'd like to run TV signal through our PC, via a VGA cable, to our 42" LCD. I've looked on the web at some of the brands and models, by price, and they all have their good and bad reviews.

I'm not looking to capture or record or edit or any of the other bells and whistles. I'd just like something capable - able to scan for the local DTV channels, with a TV style remote control to control the tuner, channels, volume, etc - and run the TV channel/signal in a Windows XP Home window.

Can anyone recommend a decent card or usb device that's not too expensive and has a remote or can be had with a remote?
My PC is a three year old Dell Inspiron, 2Gig RAM.

Thanks very much,
Dave

Oops, have the PCs confused.

The PC I want to use the tuner with is a Dell Dimension 2400, which I believe has a Celeron Processor, 2.4Ghz, and has 2G RAM.

I'm not sure if that would work with this PC.

You might also look at MyHTPC (http://www.highdefinitionblog.com/Pages/MyHTPC.htm). The MyHD tuner card has everything on board so it will work with very weak PCs. I use one with a P4 2.4 CPU.

Thanks, and I did read about the MyHD card. I was trying to figure the output for it.

Is their a way to send video from the MyHD into the TV by way of a composite video connection rather than by RGB?

I'd like the PC graphics card to be able to stay connected to the TV, while at the same time have the MyHD connected. Am I misunderstanding how the MyHD connects. It seems like it will take over the TV VGA input.
