What is "Dish Newtork" policy or requirement on this?

Case 1.) Can the grounding block be mounted close to the antenna and the dual coax and messenger attached there and then the messenger run to a copper cold water pipe about 3 feet away?

Case 2.) The installer insisted that the dual coax and messenger cable must be run ~50 feet over to the electrical and then the coax run right back to the receiver adding about 50 feet of coax. Seems foolish and a chore as well.

Case 3.) Can the block be place near the antenna inside and the dual cable and messenger run to it. Then the messenger run from the block to the electrical bonding and the coax run to the receiver saving the 50' of extra coax run? Installer insists that it can not????

Yes, mount the grounding block in the natural line of the RG-6 cable and run the ground wire from the block to the ground source.

Ground Block Must be within 20 feet of grounding source to properly meet NEC regulations. Approved grounding sources are grounding rods, electrical meter boxes, copper cold water pipes, etc. I am a tech, and do not like how i have to do this sometimes. but it is a requirement.
