100.2 Dish installation

Is there some place to see the "real" or official rules so to speak, not the speculation, concerning where and how the antenna must or can be mounted?

My existing 500 system is on my roof and has worked great for 6 years. I am told that "Dish" won't put them on the roof any more but I can find that information and it is nonsense.

Point me to the real information please and thanks.

First it is a 1000.2 not 100.2 dish and there is no regulation concerning roof mounts. Just yesterday one of my friends had one installed on his roof.

Just have to make sure you hit all 3 good from what I gather. I'm a novice. I just got Dish yesterday but I've done a lot of research last night and today. It seems that a lot of these installers simply point the dish until they see a decent signal and mount it there instead of just trying to take the time to get the absolute best signal possible.

Run one cable from the LNB to receiver and change your DiSEqC port #1 for 119,#2 for 110, and #3 for 110.you might need DP44 switch to connect all three sat together.
