Hey guys, this is my first post here, so here goes.
Today, I got the new Telus Satellite TV (rebranded Bell system), with a 6131 receiver. When we try and hook it up through HDMI, there is no signal, it blue screens, goes black for a second, then blue screens again. Many different cables were tried, a different receiver, but still nothing. I haven't been home yet to check it out, I am just going from what my wife described to me over the phone, but thought I would post this up now to see if anyone had any solutions for me to try when I get home. I hate not having my HD!! It's strange because my Xbox 360 works fine, and my old Bell 6100 used to work fine. Weird.

I'm not going to insult your intelligence and mine by saying - that you trusted your wife to install your Sat Dish receiver.
After all, you probably figure that all you had to do was exchange the antenna wire from the one receiver to the other.
You should have paid the company to come out and set it up and install it for you.
Without knowing which brand and model of HDMI you have, there is no solution for me to give, because I am here and you are there.
But I would guess with all the junk you probably have wired to your television set that you ran out of ports and bought one of the HDMI switches that allows you to hook up more junk and you have the wire on the wrong port or the HDMI unit is not compatible with your new receiver or that the dish you have on the outside of your home is either pointed at the wrong satellite or is the wrong dish for high def television if it has the wrong LBNF - it won't work.
Your best bet is to call Geek Squad and ask them to come over and straighten out your mess for you.
First call I would make is to customer support for Telus and ask for help.

No the carrier installers came out and installed it, it was a completely new install with a new carrier in a new house. She was just on the phone with me while they were attempting to hook stuff up, relaying information. The TV only has one hdmi port, the receiver is hooked directly into that. The satellite coax from what I gather, runs to the breaker box area, and is ran up to the wall outlet, then the cable is ran to the receiver. The satellite signal is high 80's across the board. I assume the receiver is accurate in the signal strength, otherwise my first concern was too much signal loss between the large run of cable, and all the connections in between. But I am not exactly sure what would cause the tv to blue screen, and not convert the signal properly. I assume that the installers wouldve gone through the settings to make sure, they were at the house form almost 3 hours apparently.
Just for the record, I am not an idiot. I work in communications, and while I am fairly unfamiliar with residential housing installs and whatnot, I am however experienced in mobile satellite equipment, and the systems they run on. I offered tech support and repair for MSAT systems for a few years, and currently work in radio and cellular.
I am not saying I am a whiz or because I work in a somewhat parallel industry it makes me smart, but usually I have enough common sense and enough of a brain to grasp whats being told to me or at least get an idea of whats causing my issues.
