Have called Dish Tech Support and no one can tell me why the time on our TV guide is one hour earlier than central time where we are.
We are RVers and time was fine in Colorado but now in Texas we get the Austin Spot but the time still seems to be mountain time.
Does anyone know why?
Thanks
Bob

Did you check to make sure the reciever is set to the correct zip code?

I'm not sure where I can set the zip code. We call Dish and they change our spot locaiton to where we are. That takes a Zip code and when they put the new address in their computer, we get the spot for that zip cade. We are in Texas now and getting the right Spot channels so I assume the Zip code is right for this time zone.
Is there is some other place I can set/check Zip code?
This is my first time on a forum. Hope this is correct way to respond to your suggestion.
Thanks

Time on your receiver is set by your home service area. When you change to a different time zone, you need to report to Dish and have them reset your "home" area.
I presume this is an RV account.

If you press Menu and select the Point Dish option there is a place to change the zip code, although I think it is only used for aiming the dish.

Entering the zip code only calculates look angles (azimuth, elevation and skew) for dish setup.
It has nothing to do with telling the receiver where you are, that is on the other end.

Yes its true that it will not tell where you are.I see some site which give you guide to set your time and time zone accordingly to your zone.So you can go there.
