OK, not a total victory since the pirates attacked with multiple little boats and one got away in open ocean.:haha: But whatever, victory is victory.
NAIROBI (AFP) – Somali pirates attempted to storm the French navy's 18,000 tonne flagship in the Indian Ocean after mistaking it for a cargo vessel, the French military said on Wednesday.

The crew of La Somme, a 160-metre (525-foot) command vessel and fuel tanker, easily saw off the brazen night-time assault by lightly armed fighters on two lightweight skiffs and captured five pirates, a spokesman said.

That's true. I wish however, that we would have watched the French a bit closer when they retreated from SE Asia. Perhaps we would not have had to follow suit years later.

Our problem there was that the politicians didn't fight it to win and hamstrung the generals with limited places to attack like bombing the bombs only when on the truck after leaving the munitions site and they could not bomb the munition site itself and many other things like that. :banghead:

It looks like we may be going down that same road in Afghanistan unfortunately. Politicians need to listen to generals if they are going to wage war. :p

100% correct. The decision to go to war should not be taken lightly,,,and when we do send our troops,,,send them with a clear mission, and bring them home when mission is accomplished.
