Can anyone recommend a good book on home theater a.v. for newbies,I have a pretty good system and am trying to understand all the different lingo but I am lost,when it comes to decoding, formats. lossy, lossless etc..

you be at the best source of information one can find. What ever questions you have, you most certainly will get an answer on the HD forum. And more times than not,,,multiple answers,,,and if you be real good,,,might even start a tussle or 3. ;) all you have to do is ask,,,and don't feel foolish,,,we were all there at one time or another. Me been on this forum for over 5 years and still ask questions.
