Hey All,
New to this home audio thing, just got an amazing system, total of 13 speakers.

I have a pair of Polk Audio RTi A7, one Polk Audio CSi A6, 2 pairs of Polk Audio FXi A6, 2 Polk Audio PSW 125, 2 pair of Polk Audio Atrium 50. (Sorry I'm new to the site and I can't post links).
Like I said earlier I'm new to this, BRAND NEW. I won everything in a contest. I need to know what i need to get this going.

Here's where i'm having my dilemma. I want to put the floor standing speakers both sub the center speaker and all 4 surrounds in one room, that would be for the game system, dvd player, t.v.. I want to put two of the outdoor speakers in my bathroom for the Mrs. when she's showering and two outside for when we have company or we're just outside enjoyin the california weather. I want everything to be on one source. I want the speakers in the the bathrooom and outside to only play the radio and cd's, while the other speakers will play the radio, tv, game, etc. Is this possible, please let me know what would be needed. Please keep in mind that i have nothing, no source unit, no receiver, nothing but speakers, please get me goin in the right direction

In order to accomplish this you would need a receiver that gives zone 2 and zone 3 output. The Onkyo NR1007 has zone 2 & 3 outputs. If you don't mind having the bathroom speakers playing the same time as the outdoor speakers, than a receiver with zone 2 outputs would be acceptable, and considerably cheaper. the Onkyo 607 model is highly regarded as are denon and Yamaha.

KK, let me know if this makes sense, i'll try to explain the best I can. I don't mind the speakers outside playin with the ones in the bathroom, but i also want to have the option to switch to just the ones outside or just the ones in the bathroom, or even have the whole house blaring, i have an engagement party coming up next year and i want to get the party started right.

In order to accomplish this, you will need a 3 zone receiver. Most mid tier receivers offer 2 zone out put. This enables you to watch a movie in full surround, while also using the same receiver to send music to an additional set of speakers (using cd player, ipod, etc.) A zone 3 receiver allows the same, but with another hook up to send, lets say music to your bathroom with a different cd player, tuner, etc. Me highly suggest the Denon AVR 3310c. http://www.usa.denon.com/ProductDetails/4972.asp

WOW, any other options, looking to spend around $350-500, have other things going on that calls for budgeting

In that price range, this receiver is highly regarded - http://www.onkyousa.com/model.cfm?m=TX-SR607&class=Receiver&p=i but keep in mind it is a zone two receiver. It will allow you to entertain in two locations. Since this is a forum, hopefully some gents will jump in that have the same speakers with this receiver and give you their :2cents on the sound and set -up. Another option would be to look at denon's http://www.usa.denon.com/ProductDetails/4858.asp For me it be a toss up, some consider the denon to have a more neutral sound than the Onkyo.
