This may be a stupid question but I'll ask it anyway. My channels don't seem to be digital except for my local channels, and that's only because i bought an antenna. Is this right? Any input would be greatly appreciated. :)

Are you only talking about Over The Air signals, not cable or satellite?
Locals may be digital or analog. Stations generally broadcast both, but the digital channel will be a subset of the analog channel number.
For example KPOO may be on channel 23 but KPOO digital will be on 23.X (X=1, 2, or 3 etc.).
Other things to consider. Some smaller stations are still not online for digital broadcasting, and even those that are, do not always broadcast a digital signal. Only during certain times. And when they do, NOT ALL DIGITAL PROGRAMMING IS IN HIGH DEFINTION.
You should be able to find out what the digital channels are, and when they broadcast in HD by going on each local station's website.
Satellite (dish and directv) broadcast digital signals for all channels. This does not mean they are all in HD. Only a small percentage will be broadcast in HD.
Cable is a mixed bag. Generally with still a fair number of channels carried in analog. Depends greatly on the individual service provider.

Actually I'm talking about satellite channels for example MTV, TNT, FX,sci-fi and so on. They don't seem to be digital because my local channels that i get through my OTA antenna look way better than my satellite channels. And I'm not talking about the HD channels just digital. My satellite channels look kind of fuzzy. I had the idea that all satellite was broadcast in digital i might be wrong.

That's one of the biggest complaints about HDTVs. SOME don't show Satellite SD very well.
I tell everyone who asks me about HDTV's to have the store show you an SD signal on their prospective HDTV.

(My Sony shows SD very well, even Letterman almost looks like HD!!!)

Well, the non-digital broadcast channels will definitely look better through your display's tuner than through the Sat receiver.
I agree, SciFi among some others is disappointing. Even when TNTHD broadcasts some older L&O as well as other programs, they have them stretched and they often look horrible.
They are a disgrace to the Dish HD lineup. They should only broadcast HD when the program material can benefit from it.

All the satellite channels are digital. The quality varies because of the source of the original program, the amount compression that's applied, the quality of the receiver and monitor.
Your TV antenna is a separate issue and has no effect on the dish connection. If you're connecting an OTA TV antenna to you satellite receiver then those channels are most likely analog unless your sat receiver has a digital OTA tuner which in that case may be both.

I have a JVC D-ILA 52" HDTV using the Dishnetwork 811 HD Receiver, my intentions are to add an off-air antenna as soon as I get my Bestbuy Rewards zone points, IF I hook that off-air antenna up to the 811 reciever, will I be getting HD and Digital broadcasts from my locals? They ALL Broadcast in digital, one in HD.

As your 811 tunes them in, that is what you will get. :)
