Running additional 50' coax from 4-Bow UHF ant to second HDTV. Should I use RG6 or RG59 (original RG59). Do I need 1 or 2 GHz splitter. Are connectors diff for diff cables. I am planning on using twist on conn, since I only need a couple and dont want to spend $ on compression tool.
Thanks-Joe

use RG6, and yes, the proper "F" connectors will be designated for use on RG6 because RG59 is slightly smaller and the connectors for it will not properly fit the larger cable. If you use twist on connectors, make sure you use high grade electrical tape or "coax-seal" http://www.coaxseal.com/ to help waterproof the connections exposed to the weather.
Please make sure your outside antenna is properly grounded - as well as the coax feed prior to it's entering your house.

Antenna grounding applies to everyone as it is an integral part of the antenna system.

1 gHz splitters will be fine.
