Looking at this player/ soundbar.... the appeal is the blue ray and sound system rapped up in one package. I know its not ideal, but i like the sleakness.

i currently have the samsung soundbar with regular dvd player, but still have time to take it back to costco (with in 90 days). my only apprehension is the fact that the sound bar i have was $300 bucks, plus a sammy blue ray player that i bought (with netflix access) was $200. so i am all set for ~$500, this new soundbar is $800, wondering if there are any experiences here...

For $800 you could get a fine true surround sound system with speakers and a receiver that would sound worlds better.

I agree, for not much more and you can put together a modest but quality sounding system.
If you are really slammed to have only a Soundbar, check out the Vizio or Zvox, for $150-500 max.
If you want the best soundbar get a Yamaha, etc. but now you are paying a grand or more! I don't see it myself, unless you have serious space restrictions.
