I was wondering if anyone was able to get the Baltimore local station which broadcast the raven games. I live in Silver Spring, MD (20902) and installed a Terk Slim HD antenna on the roof. I did a rescan and did not pickup any baltimore station. The DC local area station does not always broadcast the raven games.
Thanks,
CR

Did you point the antenna at the Baltimore towers? They are the opposite direction from the Washington towers for Silver Springs.

You are pretty far from Baltimore to receive their channels with that antenna. I would do this first, disconnect your antenna from the TV, do a new channel scan so no channels are listed. Turn off the TV attach the antenna, turn TV on and rescan the channels.
Also make sure the antenna is pointed towards the transmitters in Baltimore and was noted by a previous poster and make sure your antenna is at least 10" above the roof level.
You would also be best advised to go to antenna web or TV fool where you can put in your exact address which will give you info as to what kind of antenna you need and the distances to the stations like WBAL etc.

I agree with Loves2Watch, with an exact address TV fool report this forum can make some valid recommendations on what it would take to receive that Raven's game channel, without that exact address report, and everything is just speculation and more wild guesses than anything valid.
But after looking at your generic zip code report, it suggests that WBAL may be doable if you are average for the zip code, but I very much doubt your present antenna has the gain to get it.

Baltimore Maryland is the 24th largest market in the United States.
If you go to http://www.rabbitears.info/market.php and look at the market report, you will see that the local CBS is WJZ - Channel 13 / real and virtual.
To receive that particular station, you will need a very good high VHF antenna and not a toy antenna like the one you presently own.
Their output is only between 27.5 - 28 Kw, which is not a lot of power for a upper band 1 station.
Your are half way between the station and the edge of reception in the Service Contour Map, which tells me that you should be able to receive their signal with the right antenna and the right location with no problems.
Might I suggest that you BUY a Channel Master CM 2018 or a Winegard 7694P antenna and mount it 10 feet above your house and use some type of antenna rotor.
Sunday night games are on NBC ( Nov. 29) and Dec 13 and 20 they will be on Fox.
Fox being WBFF - channel 45 and NBC being WBAL channel 11
Your new combo antenna will come in handy, around about the time of the playoff's when you find out that your present roof top antenna cannot get it done.
I would either tape a dollar bill to the Terk antenna and give it to somebody and say - here I gave you something, or I would sell it at a yard sale for $2.00 to try and recoup some of my loss.

JB, you might want to close the quotation that you're using in your signature. You should also provide proper attribution to the author, Sir Joshua Reynolds.

CR,
You shouild easily get both DC, & Baltimore from Silver Spring. The Winegard 7694, or Antennacraft HBU-22 pointed towards Baltimore should work for you. The DC stations are coming from a different direction, but you are so close, you may not need a rotator.

Sir Joshua Reynolds is my great, great, great uncles cousins dad on my mom's side of the family..
Tom Edison had the same quotation all over his shop and his desk and no one ever sued him!
Maybe I ought to replace it with Get R' Done!
Larry the Cable guy was never sued by the estate of John Wayne - who said it several times in his movies back in the 50's and 60's, or the writers who wrote the script for the movies he acted in.
Then again, John or the studio's could have also sued Buddy Holley when he used - That will be the day, as the title of one of his hit songs back in the 50's also!

Yes, and Thomas Edison provided proper attribution to Sir Joshua Reynolds. JB, why is it so hard for you to follow proper protocols when quoting the work of other people?
