Issue with local HD station reception

I live in an apartment complex and we get our Satellite reception from the wall. No boxes or anything are in my apartment. Currently I receive 3 HD station but there are several which I am unable to get good reception for.

I bought an RCA indoor antenna and I was able to get the missing stations but my LG TV only has one antenna input so I have to choose between Satellite stations or HD stations.

Basically I don't know what I need to buy so that I can have all local HD stations as well as the satellite stations.

thanks

Hi Dan,

Welcome to the forum! What you need is an a/b switch. Connect your antenna to the "a" port and the satellite to the "b" port. Connect the third terminal to the input for your tv. When you want to watch OTA, push the A button. To watch satellite, push the b button.

HTH,

Rick

Dan,

Depending on the size of your town/city, you may be able to pick it up locally at a Lowe's, Home Depot, Radio Shack, or other electronics store. Radio Shack has a remote controlled version that may be worth investigating... Kinda pricey but you have a cleaner/less cluttered looking area around the tv. The extra remote is real must for the dedicated couch potato... :)

Take care,

Rick
