Hi!

I'm from the Netherlands and English is not my native language... I'll do my best to make myself clear to you guys :)

I came across this forum after looking for a review for the Onkyo HT-S6205 set. Since google didn't gave me results for a review I started looking for a deccent forum to ask some advice.

Searching this forum didn't showed any results for the Onkyo I'm interested about.

Since a couple of weeks I own a HDtv and a PS3. So I entered the world of HD (finally). Now I'm looking for a nice surround set for movies and games.
I'm not an audiophile in any way, so I do not need the very expensive equipment. But I want a set that sounds better than the 100 euro home theather systems out there.

I have heard onkyo is a fairly good brand... but to be honest I didn't do many research on it. :o

So, my question is... Is the Onkyo HT-S6205 any good?
And what can you guys advice me based on my wishes?

From what I have seen, the S6205 is the Euro model that comes with a TX-SR507 receiver. It is the entry level 5.1, 1.3a true HDMI HTIB, but has quite a few features. It has 4 HDMI inputs for lossless True HD/DTS HD and includes the Ipod doc. The speaker package that comes with are quite good (for HTIB speakers) and compliment the 507 very well. The TX-SR607 is a better recever in many ways and only around $100 more. But if the 507 has all the features you need, it will do quite nicely.

Thank you very much!
I think I will pay the local hifi store a visit and check this set out.
