TV2 DVR Questions about the 722

If the 722 TV2 broadcasts in 480i and I record a show on TV2 and watch it on my 1080p television, the picture looks pretty good. Ovbiously not 1080 HD quality, but not bad.

I was considering buying a flat panel for our bedroom but I want to keep the 722 and do not want an additional receiver. I was wondering if the picture will be comparable to what I'm seeing on my 1080p TV when watching a TV2 DVR show.

No, TV2 will always be SD. If you want to run some component cables from your 722 to the bedroom, then you could get HD there.

If you recorded an HD program on tuner two, it would be 1080i when viewed on tv 1's HD outputs, tuner 2 records in HD but only outputs in sd. An HD tv hooked to tv 2 outputs would not look as good. You can run second HD connects, but you would have to view the same program as would be one tv1.
