I have a VIP622. Recently, when I create a timer to record or auto-tune a program that I receive via my OTA antenna, the DVR creates the timer normally. But then, just hours later, the timer is still there in the timer list, but the DVR apparently can't find the program in the program guide-- so, not recording!
The problem is exclusive to programs received on locals via my OTA-- no such problem with programs received via the dish. What gives?

Make sure you don't have OTA signals dropping out due to poor signal strength, for starters.

Nope-- definitely not the problem. Signal strength is 99-100 on all the major networks.

Which channel are you having trouble with?
What part of town are you located?
Never saw this with my old 622.

Hey Jim-- it appears to be limited to to KCBD. I'm at 16th St and Bangor. I don't think signal strength is an issue.

Are you doing a recording timer or an auto tune timer, because the auto tune timer does not record, it just changes the channel on the receiver.
