I am now a complete and total card-carrying fan of the new NFL Red Zone. In my mind, it is far BETTER than having Direct's Sunday Ticket package.
Red Zone showed every score and major play - almost always live. I live in Southern California and watched a significant amount of games that I would have never seen.
Considering it's free if you have the regional sports package ($5.99 otherwise and then you get a ton more college football), it's the deal of the century. Consider Sunday Ticket costs $300 per season.
LOVE NFL RED ZONE!

Is is correct that Directv subscribers have to subscribe to NFL Sunday Ticket to get RedZone, but Dish subscribers get it for $5.99 a month?

NFL Red Zone is part of the extended sports package, which gets you access to every regional sports network across the country. Now understand that you won't get regional MLB, NBA or NHL, but you do get a TON of college football.
If you have the regional sports package already, there is no additional charge for Red Zone. If you add the package, it's $5.99 per month.

And to get the Red Zone in HD you have to add the Super Fan package.... the Sports Package Red Zone is offered by the NFL, did directv created their own?...I thought they were the same program..
