Harman Kardon AVR-354 on ebayatc89 09-14-2009, 10:52 AM http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200383725883&ssPageName=ADME:L:LCA:US:1123 HiDefRev 09-15-2009, 04:11 PM Well, the seller has a reserve price on this receiver, and unless someone bids ABOVE whatever price that is, we'll never know how much the seller is asking. AND - he wants $40 to ship it !!! ( Geeezzz, I could probably ship my mother-in-law for $40 !! ) That's probably about 4 times the actual shipping costs !!! IMHO, stay away from such auctions. If I want X amount of money for something, I would START the bidding at that amount, not have some unknown figure held as a reserve amount. But, that's just how I feel. Otherwise, the HK is a very good receiver, and you may be able to find a new or refurbished one online for less than whatever mystery amount this dude wants for his used one. :2cents Loves2Watch 09-15-2009, 09:41 PM Well, the seller has a reserve price on this receiver, and unless someone bids ABOVE whatever price that is, we'll never know how much the seller is asking. I think maybe it is the OP's auction? I didn't see a question, just a post of the ebay link. ckone180 09-16-2009, 09:51 AM I agree... Yeah, they are both the Chicago area, so someone just bashed his auction:haha:......Ouch! Anywho, Loves2Watch, I just caught your added tag line, and I must say, WOW WEE! Friends don't let friends buy Korean brand TVs? Samsung is not that bad. Really. I know their customer service supposedly sucks, but I love my set. Works well for my room. Hmm. Really? Listen, I am not here to bash you or your equipment. What I am stating is my opinion about the longevity of said products from a historical standpoint. I choose and recommend equipment to others that has shown a history of good performance throughout it's long life. oblioman 09-16-2009, 05:39 PM Well, the seller has a reserve price on this receiver, and unless someone bids ABOVE whatever price that is, we'll never know how much the seller is asking. It was a side by side comparison with a panny,,,and both me and me lass thought the sammy delivered the better picture. Played with the settings on both tv's for about an hour. Not at one store,,,but two different stores. so far, the sammy has performed flawlessly for basically 10 - 15 hours a day. shat, probably just jinxed it be huffing about it. :D ckone180 09-16-2009, 06:15 PM I sincerely hope your TV lasts and gives you top notch performance. I bought my TV before I ever knew of this forum anyway. I love it, but I have heard stories of the Lucky Goldstar and all.
