Hi I was wondering if anyone out there has any experience with using the equipment above because I am looking for methods that will play HDTV/Record it to the pc in High Definition.
I am looking for it to capture the HD stream directly to the pc from over the air broadcast and have it dump it to a file in it's uncompressed RAW .Ts format to the pc and then have it be able to be played back on the pc or Playstation 3
Thanks to anyone who could help I have already looked on google for many, many hours I am looking for replies from people who have used these HDTV Tuner cards or know how I can record HDTV To My Pc from my Motorola DCH6200 HD Cable Box.. from Charter (this box has HDMI ports, IEEE Firewire Ports, USB 2.0 Component Cable Ports) all of the ports are activated. (according to Charter Tech Support)
A few examples i have seen of this being done are the Metallica Live Earth 1080i broadcast, and also the Metallica Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame 1080i by (RAS) & Sonisphere 2009 1080i by (CtrlHD) all in HD in there RAW .TS formats but how did people capture these and share them on the internet without re-compressing the RAW HD streams?..
I am new to all this my pc is older but this is what i have and i know there is devices that will compress the RAW files with the H.264 codec and the X.264 codec but I would like to know how to capture the .Ts stream without any compression.

Dell Inspiron XPS Gen1 3.4 gig processor with 1 gig of dual channel ram radeon pro 9700 128 mb sound card (i know this is older so i might need a newer pc) at the present time i do not have alot of money to spend but perhaps someone could break down cheap options or the more expensive options.
