program pause question

On my current DVR (an old Hughes HDVR2) I am able to pause the program on one channel, switch to a second channel, then switch back to the original channel within 30 minutes,and the program will still be paused at the time I set it. A more recent DVR I have from DirecTV cannot do this.

My question is: Do any of the newer DVR's such as the HR22 have this capability?

The newer Directv DVRs did away with the dual buffers until just this week. If you go over to the Directv thread, users are talking about their DVRs getting a new software download that enables the dual buffer. The download is being rolled out still so if yours still does not have this feature, it will very soon.
