Called DISH yesterday to upgrade to HD programming. 2 questions. The dish website stated I get my locals in HD if I upgrade any classic package. I chatted with a dish rep just a while ago and he advised my locals cost $5.00 per month.. sounds like false advertising to me.
Also, I currently have an OTA antenna and get my locals in HD just fine. Will I be able to connect my antenna to the back of my 722 and get them integrated into the program guide? The main reason I want to do this is to be able to record network HD using the DVR.
Any help/thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks...

To my knowledge, if you want your locals through Dish, it is an additional $5 a month. I am not aware of any package deals that include them free, but perhaps there is.
The Vip622 has an included ATSC tuner for OTA, but I think the 722 requires a ATSC card to be installed. You will need to request it when you order. I have the 622 so I may be wrong on this, but that is my understanding.

So it sounds like I want the 722, instead of the 722k, as I will have to purchase the $30.00 module if I get the 722K?
It sounds like I will not be able to see the local HD channels in my EPG, unless I subscribe to the locals through DISH? The way I understand it the numbering scheme identifying the channels may be a bit weird to tune to my locals through the 722 receiver?
Also, does anyone have any good online sites they use that may sell HDMI cables? I refuse to get one at Best Buy for $30.00. I want to have it available when they come to exchange my 322 receiver and dish.
Thanks in advance.
