I have a lg bd300 my projector is only 720p will components give me 720p resolution or do i need to run hdmi? My receiver only has component switching not hdmi so i will need to run a hdmi switcher to use hdmi on my projector.

Component video will support up to 1080p depending on the display. So in you case, component should handle 720p just fine.

Actually very few displays will even accept a 1080p signal over component from what I have seen. Did you mean 1080i, for component?

Nope, I meant 1080p. I know that not many displays do, but some can. That is why I said "depending on the display". Just wanted to state that component can handle up to 1080p and is not limited from that stand point. Since his display is only 720p, not a problem either way.
