Splitting HDMI .. best way?

I am currently running 2 HDTV's off my Directv H20.. TV1uses HDMI and TV2 uses Component Cables... The picture on TV2 using Component Cables is vastly inferior to TV1using HDMI. When I Plug the HDMI into this TV2, the picture is great but just not with component cables.. I have even replaced the component cables.. same inferior picture.. I have seen the inexpensive 1/2 HDMI splitters being sold but reviews on them are 90% negative... they don't seem to work! What is the best and least inexpensive way to split the HDMI Directv output so both TV's can have a decent picture?

Sounds like you need to calibrate the component input on your other TV. In your case, both HDMI and component should deliver the same picture.
