Anyone have picture settings for the BDP-S560 that they like? It may be very similar to other Sony models in this regard. Not sure.
Thanks.

Sony BDP-S560 Picture Settings?wdm0744 08-31-2009, 09:31 AM Anyone have picture settings for the BDP-S560 that they like? It may be very similar to other Sony models in this regard. Not sure. Thanks. wdm0744 09-04-2009, 08:39 AM I've set my tv up as best I could. The colors, sharpness, and resolution look great, but I'm getting a sort of"British tv" look depending on what I'm watching. The satellite doesn't seem to do it. I'm using the Sony BDP S560 for a blu-ray and upconverting dvd player. TV shows on DVD don't seem to do it , but a couple of blu-rays still seem just a tad off. The best way I can describe it is that everything looks a bit like British tv. A bit 3-D (which is, I admit, very cool), but also like the film is just a tad sped up. I'm wondering if it is just something I'm going to have to get used to. It's not bad, really,it's just weird and a bit distracting. Like I said, the speed just seems a bit too high or something. Are there settings on the blu-ray player that might be causing? I've looked around, but not sure what to try. My best guess is the conversion method. Right now I have it set to "Auto", but I could change it to "video". Any ideas? Thanks. PFC5 09-04-2009, 11:45 AM I mentioned this in your flat panel thread. Change the BD player output from 24Fps to 60Fps output, since I think your display does not repeat the same frame 5x, but rather it interpolates (guesses the changes in each repeated frame being repeated) which is likely causing this problem you see. | |
