Just bought a new Dell Inspiron 1545 laptop with Intel series 4 chipset integrated graphics along with a Sony 32'' 1080p 60Hz Bravia KDL-32S5100.
My laptop has only vga out, which is connected to the tv's vga in. I can output 1360x768 just fine, along with several other resolutions, but 1920x1080 says "no signal" on the tv. Both Display Properties and the Intel Graphics driver software allow me to choose the 1920x1080 option, and even indicate that it is the tv's native resolution.
The intel chipset claims it supports 1920x1080 and the HDTV manual says it can take 1920x1080 through the vga-in. I have also downloaded the latest drivers.
Any ideas?
