Fantasy Football - beginner

My friends have finally strong armed me into joining their Fantasy Football League.. I am a football fan and watch every game I can but have never done FF. I have 1 week to prepare for the draft.. Can anyone recommend a single magazine or book that will provide me with the basics, worksheets and thoughts that I might use so I don't really mess things up on day 1..

Magazines are a good thing as I have used them for football & baseball for years & I almost always grab LINDY's Fantasy Magazine. They mostly help me to make sure I don't forget someone, to make sure I see wich players have changed teams, & I like to see who the sleepers are for this year.

This is the first year I am not using a magazine as I have learned over the last few years that the website I play on (CBS Sports) is absolutely loaded with up to date info & rankings & projections. They even have a downloadable draft kit. ESPN.com also has a downloadable draft kit & tons of info. So check out the website your league is using & you may find everything you need right there.

You can't go wrong either way.

One small bit of advice - Running backs are usually the biggest scorers in FF and need to get selected first. On the flip side, there is not a lot of separation with kickers and they go last.

There is only one fantasy magazine i've used for each season since 2005 and that's NFL.com's Fantasy Football magazine. You ought to pick it up. http://sigsports.net/forums/style_emoticons/default/yep.gif

I stopped buying magazines a long time ago, they are a waste of $...what ever site you use will have everything you need
