I posted this over in the Dish Network forum, but perhaps it would have been better here, so I'll post it again. I apologize for the added noise.

I have an 811 and my TV is a Sony KDF42WE655. I have the DN HD package. I am using these cables- Monster Cable Component Video Cable (MV2CV-2M). If I switched to HDMI would I really see improvement in picture puality? And I am under the impression there is no reason to upgrade from component with my DVD player. Is that correct?

And with HDMI I could stop using an additional digital audio cable, as I understand. Would I lose anything on audio quality?
