I just bought a 32 inch lcd flat with a dvi port only and have a scentific atlantic cable box with a hdmi port only so i bought a dvi to hdmi adapter to run and i know that by doing this i need sound from somewhere else but to no avail no sound im using rca (red and white for audio and nothing when it is set to my dvi imput on my tv but if i set it to video 1 through the rca comp i get picture and sound. the cable company give me no explanations or reasons why no sound....any help and if u need more onfo to help me email me

this is very frustrating the becuase i want dvr cable box and the dvr box they have with dmi port thewy tell me the dvi port is not active and they dont know when, but the regular hd box without dvr has the dvi port that works so if i want dvr i am having to use the dvi to hdmi adapter to get picture but no sound please help
