It is
impossible to convert a 4:3 image to 16:9 without either
cropping it at top and/or bottom, or
distorting it by stretching it horizontally, or doing a combination of
both (i.e. cropping and distorting). This is a mathematical certainty. You simply are unobservant and misinformed if you think otherwise.
