Probably for a credit check, I would assume.
Still, one has to remember that even with a "teaser" rate you're going to have additional receiver fees (with more than one set), HD fees perhaps, DVR fees perhaps (if you want one), and so on. So by the time all is said and done, unless all you have is one SD set with no bells and whistles, you're well on your way to $20 a month or more.
