The TV will
NEVER tell you what it is displaying. They just don't do that.
The TV will always display at its native resolution which is 768p.
If the TV displays 1080p, then it is possible that the set you have has be upgraded/updated to accept 1080p input. However, your follow on comment would suggest that this is not the case.
