I have mid level knowledge for setting up my Denon AR 1508 receiver system with 5.1 surround. I however cannot get anything to set up correctly as i just purchased a new entertainment stand and am putting everything back together.
I am trying to connect a uverse (at&t) box, bluray player, xbox360 through my reciever (above) and to my Samsung LCD television.
my current setup has coaxial cable running to my uverse box and an hdmi cable running to my receiver (new cable)
my xbox360 running to the VCR component on the receiver for video and sound
my bluray player running digital cable to the optical 1 (assignable) and digital component cable running to the green, red, blue component for DVD on the receiver.
I then have an HDMI cable running from the monitor out portion of my receiver to my HDMI 1 port on the back of my TV.
I have all of my speakers set up for L/R Front, Center, and L/R Surround with the correct gauge speaker wire.
Nothing Works!!!!!!!
Everything turns on correctly, i have messed around with the system setup (which is where i believe the problem to be), but am in need of some serious help.
I am in complete take the receiver out back "office space" style and play some Geto boys "damn it feels good to be a gangster" while my Louisville slugger wreaks havoc.
Can someone please help me, let me know if there is more information needed.
Everything worked completely fine before i bought this new entertainment center.
