HD 24 fps - Sony XBR2 - afraid to buy VOD
I have a Sony 52" XBR2 which I love, but as you know, it's only 60hz, and therefore will not do native 24fps HD. Does that mean that if I D/L (AND PAY FOR) a movie either on regular channels or VOD that specifies 24fps, I'll just be wasting my $$? I did the early "HD test", and it said my TV doesn't support it.. .but I have never been sure if that means it won't show in 24, or if it won't show at ALL. I have not yet invested in a bluray player (which of course also does 24fps), but I assume that it will output 24fps, or downgrade to Pulldown if my TV won't play it... but here again, I'm not sure...
Bottom line, I don't want to waste $6.99 buying a VOD that I won't be able to watch.
Any comments appreciated.
