I think McAfee and Norton are a complete waste.

At home, many of my systems have nothing on them. On my laptop which I connect at clients, I have A/V.

The risk if you know how viruses spread and how malware infects systems is low. But if you are unfamiliar with that as most people are, then having A/V protection is a good idea. Just not Norton or McAfee - I think they are very unreliable.
