So can I assume that plasma is here to stay?
At BB they do have darker rooms where all the high end stuff is displayed. I understand that out in the main warehouse, where the light is bright, the LEDs perform better. However, even in the darker room, I still thought the LEDs looked better than the plasma TVs. Perhaps its just a matter of personal preference, but I really prefer the LEDs.
My buddy had a professional installer set up and calibrate his plasma. Granted that his plasma now is 3 years old (which makes it ancient in tech years), but it was the best, one could get back then. I believe Elite still is Pioneers flagship models and that they still set the benchmark. Even so, looking at it, I think it leaves much to desire. Maybe it's a bit unfair though, considering the size of the screen. I suppose 62" would reveal more imperfections than smaller sizes.
As far as plasma vs LED, I'm pretty much sold on the LED. Just wonder if I should go for the 8,7, or 6K series.
I will however go one last time before purchasing to check out plasmas.
Thanks again for your input.
