The differences between the 6000 and 7000 series seem to be slightly better
contrast on the 7000. The 7000 series also has what Samsung dubs "Medi@ 2.0", which is a way to network the TV to receive various internet enabled widgets via your television. The 8000 series adds 240Hz AutoMotion Plus processing. If you know what to look for, you can see a slight difference in a side-by-side comparison in the 120 vs. 240, however, I will say that 90%+ people won't be able to tell.

The 8000 series has a touch of grey, not blue. It's more like a dark charcoal color at the very edge of the bezel.
