I'd appreciate your expert opinions on what hi def videocamera I should purchase to primarily film high school outdoor soccer. Games are played in daylight and under the lights. Weather can be rain or snow at times. I want to download highlights and burn to standard DVD's, possibly Blu Ray in the future. More optical zoom is better, audio not very important. Prefer memory cards over hard drive, DVD, or tape. Price range of around 1K. Looking at Canon and Sony.
I'm not a computer expert so ease of download, conversion, etc is important. Thanks.
