I have to admit, I think this is complete bunk on their part. It wasn't always like that either. Used to be that your first four (including one DVR) was included in the price of your package. Then they started charging for them middle of last year, or first of this year - I can't remember. Anyway, IMO, it was one of their bonuses over cable since you had to pay for each box you had with cable.
