Sony's system seems to be completely based around the wand, which can be limiting. Natal doesn't have that limitation. If you need to hold something in your hand, hold anything you want - Natal probably wouldn't care.
I think Natal will open up a whole new market for peripherals - many of which would be nothing more then props.

How? How exactly will it be "limiting" in a way that Natal is not? Any and all motion control is limiting in some sense. You are assuming that the Sony system is based only on the peripheral, which it may be, but we don't really know as it's still completely prototype. Natal has been VERY open about bragging you won't need peripherals. That was their whole demonstration.
Bottom line to me though is that BOTH systems are going to end up nothing more than a fad for a few months that will die out quickly. IMHO.
