Ok so I went over some of the stickys. I imagine a few guys rolling their eyes.

So I guess forget the q about contrast ratio.

I already stated that they will be replacing two tube tvs and a 46" samsung lcd which I have grown to detest.

I watch a lot of sports, news but also movies on cable as well as dvd. Im going to stick to my dvd players and skip blue ray since I think the next step will be streaming downloadable movies to make all other players obsolete.

I really prefer the LED's over anything else I've seen. My buddy has an Elite 62 inch plasma. A few years ago the whole setup cost over $10 000. I went over to his house after looking at LED's, and thought the quality of the plasma was shyte.

I see very little difference between LCD and LED but the LED exterior design just looks so much nicer. It's probably laughable for most guys but design and aesthetic appeal is extremely important to me.
