Nooooo, did you not read JB's informative (if somewhat irrelevant to the OP's question) post's?
A 3dB loss would = HALF your power out the other side, thus giving you a 50% power drop.
dB=10*log (P in/P out)
A 1.0dB insertion loss would be roughly a 20% loss of power.
