DTAs are being deployed as part of Project Calvary, which will free up bandwidth currently clogged with old technology analog service, so that bandwidth can be used for highly-desired new services, like HD channels, and DOCSIS 3.0 high-speed Internet. I cannot wait for the DTAs to be deployed in my area, since it will be the pre-cursor to the introduction of some new services that I am very much looking forward to.

But at what cost?
