One word about this - this advantage is temporary. Many cable operators (Comcast included) are dropping all non-local analogs. So, in the near future, whether you have Comcast or FiOS, if you want non-local channels, you'll need a cable box. Comcast has already announced their intent to drop all those analog channels - it's part of their big plan to increase bandwidth.
